Impact on Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region

To-date, RDI has developed affordable single-family housing for 1st time homebuyers and created affordable rental housing for seniors, families, individuals, and disabled residents. RDI has also upgraded and preserved essential retail and commercial units in our town centers.

RDI's development initiatives provide significant tangible economic benefits to Franklin County and the North Quabbin region. RDI's commercial and residential developments have to-date infused more than $20 million into our region.


Impact of Home Ownership Program

RDI has assisted more than 80 families achieve affordable homeownership in RDI constructed homes. RDI to-date has constructed more than $8.4 million of single family housing throughout Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region. RDI's future construction of 10-12 houses per year will expand homeownership opportunity and continue to be an economic stimulus for the region's sub-contractors and material suppliers.

Impact of Rental Developments

RDI has secured more than $14 million to substantially renovate three significant town-center historic buildings to upgrade and preserve 74 units of affordable rental housing and 5 commercial units.

Future Projects

RDI is currently working on a number of development projects. They include the construction of affordable elderly housing in several area communities. RDI is also pursuing the acquisition of a number of multi-family properties to upgrade and preserve this housing as both affordable rental housing for families and sober housing for single individuals.
